  1. Wow! I’m so glad I was able to watch this right away, Julie. Yes, I have a
hair loss story for you and it’s a long one, so I’ll see if I can write to
you tonight. I’ve lived w/ extreme hair loss for years now and the only
time I had a real break was actually when I was pregnant in 2008 🙂 By
looking at my videos you would think I don’t have the problem but it’s just
that my hair is curly and that helps hide my main bald spot. Anyway, I’ll
write soon. I have lots to tell you. XO!

  2. Hey Julie! I feel your beauty pains I too have thin strange hair haha. I
love your hair though it looks so thick, dark, and so pretty! I love this
review I always wondered about these Wen ads on TV. Oh hair haha. I get
horrible tangles and they brush out which puts me off from washing just be
glad you don’t bleach like me sister! 🙂

  3. Julie, thanks so much for sharing this with us. I can understand how
frustrating this situation may be. But don’t give up: keep researching and
maybe find yet another dermatologist. Keep us posted. Wishing you the best
    of luck.

  4. “I don’t know if I’m making that up, but that’s how I remembered it” That
is hilarious.. because I do that too…and have those thoughts about
remembering things… lol So… I am not the same wash cycle as you
are…WEN is still IT for me, but I noticed that I had to start rotating
another shampoo in the mix so my hair did not get TOO used to the WEN.I
rotate the Loreal sulfate free Everpure shampoo & Conditioner… Great
review…can’t wait to hear what you think in a few weeks! 🙂 Hugs!

  5. Hi Julie, I just watched a video earlier today about a fellow Youtuber,
LOVE4NAILS, who experienced hair loss and the products that helped her.

  6. I’m pretty sure I invent the occasional memory…glad I’m not the only
one:) Ok, so it’s good to know you still get the WEN results even when you
use “normal” shampoo in the mix. I’ve been thinking that’s what I will need
to do to….especially if I go a third day without washing my hair, or if I
use more product. Either way, I’m really liking WEN after 2 uses. Hugs,

  7. I do consider getting a third opinion sometimes! Every doctor has a
slightly different take on things. Thanks, Cyndi!

  8. Ya know, I went blond (ok, maybe light brown) a few years ago, and it
destroyed my hair. Couldn’t fix the texture no matter what I tried (and i
had this done at a good salon). Eventually I chopped it off up to my chin
and it went back to normal. Thanks for sharing my hair pain!!!

  9. Actually, yes. A naturopath thought I MIGHT have a slightly underactive
thyroid, so I took pills briefly. At first I thought that triggered the
hair loss, but it should have ended when I stopped the pills. I should have
mentioned that in the video (it’s such a complicated saga!). And I know
docs can disagree on appropriate thyroid levels, but the three who checked
mine thought it was fine. Thanks for watching!

  10. Thank you so much for sharing your story! I’m going to respond to your
    email asap. Hugs!

  11. Hello! I’ll have to count my hairs first (oh fun times!!) but I have
experienced some mildly alarming hair loss, I don’t feel my crown is as
full as it was in the past. When you mentioned in the comments a doc
thought you’d had an under-active thyroid did you end up trying something
like synthroid ever? I’m on it now just wondering, if u had tried and if so
    what you’d thought…Thx!

  12. I actually did go on synthroid (or something similar) for about 2 months. I
didn’t have underactive thyroid symptoms except for some digestive issues.
The doctor thought I should try the drugs and see if they helped. They
didn’t make a noticeable difference except that the hair loss actually
began at that time. But I honestly don’t know if the thyroid drug caused it
because I stopped the drug right away and the hair loss continued. The
derms I consulted later said the hair loss should have

  13. ….stopped if it was the thyroid drug. Months after I took the drug, both
derms thought my thyroid blood markers were normal, so they don’t think my
hair loss was related to that. It is very frustrating when you can’t pin
point a cause. Thanks for commenting…have you had a thyroid test?

  14. Yes I have. Before starting the synthroid (on 1/2 a 25mg pill per day)
(test done by an endocrinologist) I was found to have levels that were just
shy of normal clinical ratios. I actually went in today for a follow up
blood draw 2 see where my lvls are! Thx 4 asking!

  15. Hi, I have the same issue with my hair except mine was due to thyroid
problems. No matter what I tried nothing seemed to help. I just started and
I mean within the last month using coconut oil. I really didn’t think it
would help but I am so happy. Every 3 days I put it on dry hair and wrap it
in a turban overnight. Then wash it with regular shampoo and use reg.
conditioner. First of all it felt amazing but within a week I could tell
the thinning spots were less thin. I have used it as I said for about a
month and It is working great. I use the refined kind that doesn’t have
the smell and It is 100% coconut oil. I bought it at Ingles market for( get
this) less than $6.00. I don’t have to tell you how much I spent on other
products that did nothing. Hope this helps you. Any questions feel free to
    ask me.
